Our piano teacher Jake, in City Centre, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Piano Performance degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jake has been teaching piano lessons since 2022. As part of his studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, this piano teacher has performed numerous piano recitals, including for competitions such as the Beryl Chempin Competition and the Dennis Matthew Piano Prize. He has also performed many times in public settings, such as at charity events or solo piano recitals in various venues. Jake's performances in ensembles include playing for musicals, accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists, and performing as part of a piano duet in venues such as the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford Upon Avon. Jake has studied pedagogy extensively, and has worked closely with students in piano workshops, such as those through the Junior Conservatoire of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He also jointly arranged a concert with other teachers, in which students were invited to perform at the Conservatoire. Through his music education and performance experience, this teacher plays to a high standard, which will keep improving as he continues to study. Jake has a passion for music which helps to keep students engaged. He strives to cater to each student, for example, by being flexible regarding what repertoire a student plays, or whether they take exams or not. Whatever his students’ piano goals are, Jake strives to help them to reach their full potential while helping to maintain and grow their passion for music.
