Our piano teacher Ed, in Stoke Bishop, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Ed has been teaching piano lessons since 2018. Beyond his classical recital of works by Schubert, Haydn, and Debussy for the Piano ATCL, Ed has performed concerts and gigs at prestigious venues such as the University Church of St Mary the Virgin in Oxford, Haberdashers’ Hall in London, and St Stephen’s Church in Bristol. Selections performed ranged from classic jazz standards through to original compositions. With broad experience in jazz and pop/rock, this piano teacher has performed widely across the UK in both public and private settings. He has fronted a house band jazz piano trio for weekly jam sessions at a busy venue in central Oxford, appeared with small pop/soul groups and big bands at weddings and corporate events, and worked as a session pianist and keyboardist for numerous original artists and songwriters. As an accompanist, Ed has worked closely with numerous pop, soul, and folk singers. Recent venues in Bristol include the Arnolfini, The Lantern at Colston Hall, and Piccolino. He also has experience accompanying choirs and big bands for rehearsals, as well as playing hymns and songs for wedding ceremonies and church services. Drawing on his rich musical experience, Ed teaches with a commitment to clear, rhythmic, and expressive playing, and works with students to improve their confidence and enjoyment at the piano.
