Our piano teacher Bryan offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Bryan has been teaching piano lessons since 2015. This award-winning pianist is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with First Class Honours, where he formally studied classical and jazz piano, as well as electronic music. Bryan has enjoyed many successes in piano festivals in the South of England, including winning the PACA piano prize for solo recitalist and the MINNS Young Musician of the Year award. He has appeared live as a solo jazz pianist on BBC Radio Solent and performed in a variety of venues across the UK. As an ensemble player this piano teacher has performed in collaboration with electronic music students and provided electronic sound and solo piano to a silent film. His multi-faceted interests have also led to collaborative projects such as the Curious Festival – a residency-style project involving multimedia and installations with over 20 collaborators, resulting in a full weekend of unique cross-arts work derived from experimental themes. Bryan has worked with actors and singers in a professional theatre company specialising in live improvised musicals, providing accompaniment and coaching in musicianship. This piano teacher acted as workshop leader on the ‘Sounds of the South’ pop-up project which took place in secondary schools in East London over three consecutive days, collaborating with folk artists to deliver dynamic, interactive educational workshops on the use of technology for creating sound and music. With experience teaching both absolute beginners and more developed pianists, Bryan has the resources to lead exciting and enjoyable lessons for all abilities and interests.
