Our piano teacher Toby offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 3 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Toby has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. During his studies, Toby has given multiple concerts at the Turner Sims Concert Hall, showcasing pieces such as Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata, Messiaen's Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus, and Janáček's In the Mists. This piano teacher has performed at well-known venues such as beneath London's Globe theatre, the Underglobe; Winchester Cathedral, Basingstoke's The Anvil, and Paris' Saint-Eustache Cathedral. Toby has performed as accompanist to various ensembles across many genres, spanning from harpsichord continuo for Southampton University's Early Music Ensemble's performance of Bach's famous Brandenburg Concerto to playing keys for various jazz/pop groups. He has performed extensively as an accompanist playing as répétiteur for various musicals, accompanying classical vocalists, flautists, and more. He has also been a resident organist at various churches around the Southampton/Eastleigh area. This piano teacher has extensive knowledge of composition, having composed for screen on multiple occasions.
