Jack: Piano Teacher in N1, London

Our piano teacher, Jack, offers jazz piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jack has been teaching piano lessons since 2016. At the University of Manchester, Jack focused on composition and performance in his final year. For his final performance he received a mark of 80. In his final year he was elected Musical Director of the University of Manchester Big Band and was a regular member of MSC Big Band, who performed at venues such as the O2 Academy Manchester and Kendal Calling. Jack worked as the Musician in Residence at St Lawrence College Ramsgate from 2017 to 2019, a job which involved playing the organ, accompanying ensembles and performances and teaching composition and performance at all levels. Jack today has worked as a full-time self-employed musician and composer since 2019 in both Kent and London, working notably with Neptunes Choir, Amy Lennox in his time in Kent, as well as many singers, instrumentalists and composers at noted London venues such as Zedel, Oliver’s, The Greennote, MAP Studio, The Ned, The Dilly and many others. Jack performs predominantly in a jazz style but plays pop music in a professional setting as well. Jack is currently studying for a Masters in Music in jazz piano at Trinity LABAN Conservatoire for Music and Dance. Here he studies closely under the tutelage of Bruno Heinen, Deschanel Gordon, Liam Noble and Byron Wallen among others. This piano teacher encourages a holistic approach that combines piano technique, listening, ear training, music theory, and developing the mindset to make a genuine connection with piano music.
