Feb 5 Jack: Piano Teacher in N1, London

Our piano teacher, Jack, offers jazz piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Jack has been teaching piano lessons since 2016. In his musical career, Jack has performed several solo piano concerts as a jazz pianist, throughout the UK. He frequently performs as a solo pianist for functions, including regular appearances at Saint Lawrence College Ramsgate. He was the elected musical director for the University of Manchester big band where he selected repertoire, conducted rehearsals, and created arrangements for the group. Jack has accompanied singers in both jazz and pop styles on piano, as well as students for exams, performances, and music competitions, and instrumentalists for original compositions by composers at the University of Manchester, the Royal Northern College of Music, and elsewhere. This piano teacher also specialises in composition, generally composing in a manner that experiments with levels of performer agency and improvisation. He recently performed as an ensemble member for a song cycle written by Canadian composer Jamie Moore, and has also performed in prominent Manchester venues such as the O2 Academy. This piano teacher encourages a holistic approach that combines piano technique, listening, ear training, music theory, and developing the mindset to make a genuine connection with piano music.
