Our piano teacher Hoi Ming offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Hoi Ming has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. Hoi Ming has actively participated in numerous international competitions, such as the Vivaldi International Music Competition and the Glory International Piano Competition, significantly contributing to the development of his technical abilities and stage presence. Competing against talented pianists from around the world has challenged him to elevate his artistry and interpretative skills. Hoi Ming also has extensive experience performing as a pianist with various chamber ensembles, bands, and orchestras, enriching his musical journey and broadening his collaborative skills. During his studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, he served as the main pianist for the Chung Chi Orchestra. In this role, Hoi Ming participated in regular rehearsals and performed in concerts across Hong Kong and Macau, showcasing his ability to blend seamlessly with orchestral arrangements and contribute to the ensemble's overall sound. In addition to his orchestral experience, Hoi Ming has performed with various chamber music groups across Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, where he has explored an extensive repertoire of piano trios and quartets. These performances have allowed him to engage with diverse musical styles and develop a keen sense of ensemble playing. Through these experiences, Hoi Ming has demonstrated his versatility and commitment to delivering exceptional performances in both solo and collaborative settings. Hoi Ming is also a talented piano accompanist, and achieved distinction in the Accompanying Module during his studies at the Royal College of Music. He served as the school accompanist for Loughborough Schools Music, where he accompanied students in rehearsals, concerts, and examinations. His proficiency in accompaniment is further demonstrated in his current position as a piano accompanist and piano tutor at Wandsworth Music in London. In addition to his competitive and career success, Hoi Ming brings valuable experience as a music teacher in the classroom, having obtained Qualified Teacher Status. His teaching experience allows him to effectively communicate musical concepts and inspire students of all levels. Hoi Ming’s background as both a performer and educator equips him with the tools to nurture and develop the musical talents of his students, making him a well-rounded and inspiring instructor.
