Our piano teacher Maya offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Maya has been teaching piano lessons since 2022. Maya is a solo pianist with a first-class performance degree from the University of Aberdeen. In her music career, she has worked as the pianist for the University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra and the NHS Grampian Choir. She also has experience in theater, and has been the music director for Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Long Lake Camp for the Arts in New York. She has also played in the pit for various theater productions across Scotland. This teacher is a seasoned pit musician, having played for the AngusALIVE Festival, Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group, University of Aberdeen Show Choir, and over 15 musical productions at Long Lake Camp for the Arts. Maya is also an experienced accompanist. She has worked as an accompanist for the University of Aberdeen’s workshop series and has accompanied several vocal and instrumental performances at Long Lake Camp for the Arts, bringing a strong musicality and reliability to every performance. Maya has taught private piano lessons to students from New York, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh. As a teacher, Maya brings her diverse experience as a performer and music director to piano lessons, offering personalized guidance that helps students build both technical skill and musical expression.
