Our piano teacher Joseph, in Oxford, offers classical and jazz piano lessons for ages 12 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Joseph has been teaching piano lessons since 2011. In his career, Joseph has given solo recitals in many notable venues, including New College, Denis Arnold Hall, St. Alfege Church, and 49 Queen’s Gate Terrace, as well as at venues in Nice, France. He has a particular passion for modern and contemporary repertoire, but also enjoys performing classical. He has worked with leading composers and has also frequently premiered and recorded works by emerging composers for auditions and compositions. Joseph has extensive experience performing as a collaborative pianist and organist, working with chamber ensembles, instrumentalists, and vocalists in both concert and rehearsal settings. As an accompanist, he has played in a variety of venues, such as Cadogan Hall and the Oxford Chamber Music Festival, with groups including the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra. This piano teacher offers piano lessons that are individualized and holistic, working at each student’s pace to cultivate refined musical and technical understanding. Lessons encourage curiosity, thoughtful practice, and the development of a personal artistic voice. Alongside foundational pianistic principles, students often explore musical communication, stylistic awareness, and expressive coordination. Joseph’s many years of performing and teaching experience help him to offer welcoming, resilient, and personalized piano lessons for students of all ages.
