Our piano teacher Joanna, in Exmouth, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree with a Post Graduate Certificate in Music Education and a wealth of experience teaching piano to students of all ages. Joanna has been teaching piano lessons since 2026. In her career, this piano teacher has played with contemporary jazz bands and rock bands in a variety of settings, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She also recently formed her own contemporary music group in Devon. As a talented accompanist, Joanna has accompanied many school choirs in London for their performances to large audiences. She loves playing sensitively and adapting where needed so that the children can experience the joy of making music together and grow in confidence. Joanna is also a Speech and Language Therapist who specialises in Voice Therapy, which meaningfully informs her music teaching. She is experienced in working with individuals with ADHD and Autism from this work and her many years as a primary class teacher and secondary music teacher. As a piano teacher, she works closely with each individual student, adapting her approach in order for them to progress and meet their goals. She offers inspiring lessons for children, young people, and adults. Joanna believes that learning the piano should, above all, be enjoyable!
