Our piano teacher in Ilford, Michael, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Michael has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. This piano teacher has worked as a professional musician for 12 years performing all over the country. He performs regularly for weddings, tearooms, jazz bars, and in restaurants. With extensive experience as a piano accompanist and a keyboardist/pianist in band settings, he has accompanied many singers and saxophonists for private events and in jazz venues, and gospel choirs for Sunday church services. Michael has been a musical director for MOBO award-winning artists, performing at Glastonbury festival and BBC Live lounge. His extensive experience in a wide range of musical scenarios has led to a broad perspective and understanding of music. This piano teacher's wish is to enrich his students' lives by teaching them the tools to express themselves through the piano. He has many teaching strategies, which he prescribes based on students' needs and desires, and is able to prepare students for graded piano exams, develop a strong ability to reading music notation, and also teach students to improvise and interpret the music they play creatively and intuitively.
