Our piano teacher Debra, in Bracknell, offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 8 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music in Piano Performance degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Debra has been teaching piano lessons since 2000. She has played solo recitals in the United Kingdom and in Hong Kong, performing numerous classical works. She has worked frequently with professional string players, especially violin, cello, and double bass, and has a large repertoire as an accompanist of stringed instruments. As a chamber musician with decades of experience, she has been very highly sought-after as an accompanist in concerts and examinations, providing an impeccable piano accompaniment which unfailingly supports and very often enhances the playing of the instrumentalist. Debra is the author of the book "From Technique to Music: Secrets of Piano Technique", which was published by Ego Press in 2017 in traditional Chinese. A summary of its contents has also been published in English by the Institute of Integrative Piano Technique. Debra specializes in teaching healthy and natural technique to students of all levels, which stresses the use of arm weight, flexibility and whole-body coordination.
