Our piano teacher, Jonathan, in Paddington offers classical piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. He holds a Master of Music degree with commendation and has been teaching since 2005 in both private and school settings. In addition to piano, Jonathan offers tuition in organ and music theory. He is an award-winning organist and plays regularly for Sunday services, maintaining an active performance schedule that informs and enriches his teaching. From 2007 to 2016, Jonathan worked at the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), where he contributed to numerous exam publications and developed an in-depth understanding of the exam requirements. This experience has shaped his teaching into a well-informed, thorough and flexible approach that supports students both within and beyond the exam framework. Since 2016, Jonathan has worked at Oxford University Press as a commissioning editor in the music department. This role has further deepened his engagement with music education and pedagogical publishing. Jonathan’s teaching philosophy encourages students to explore a wide range of repertoire, develop their creativity and engage with music beyond the exam syllabus. His lessons are tailored to each individual, nurturing both technical skill and a lifelong love of music.
