Our piano teacher Morna offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Morna has been teaching piano lessons since 2008. As a chamber musician, Morna has performed across Australia at White Night Melbourne, fortyfive downstairs, and the Australian Chamber Music Festival. She has also played for musicals, including Sweeney Todd at the University of Melbourne’s Union Theatre, Guys and Dolls at University House, and Parade at Waterdale Theatre. Morna is also an experienced accompanist who is equally comfortable accompanying soloists as she is with choirs and ensembles. She has over a decade of accompaniment experience for exams, festivals, auditions, and various ensembles, from primary schools to the university level. Morna has created and performed multiple workshops to encourage accessibility to classical music for young people. This included a year-long residency at the Melbourne City Library and a tour of regional Victoria. As a teacher, she has extensive experience with students of all ages and levels. Whether preparing for an exam or learning for fun, Morna’s piano students are encouraged to pursue their own musical interests in a constructive and encouraging environment, where an enjoyment and interest in music is key!
