Our piano teacher Zizhou, in North Finchley, offers classical piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Zizhou has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. He studied at Christ Church at the University of Oxford, graduating first with a Bachelor of Arts in Music before pursuing a Master of Studies in Music Performance. While studying music, he mastered piano technique and also grew his music knowledge, particularly 19th century Romantic piano. He has been an active pianist for many years, and has performed at many prestigious venues in the U.K., including Wigmore Hall, St. James Piccadilly, the Sheldonian Theatre, and Holywell Music Room in Oxford. His piano performances and talents have also won him a number of competitions and awards, including the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe’s Junior Intercollegiate Competition, runner-up in the Oxford Philharmonia Concerto Competition, and the William Ewald Exhibition Prize for Music at the University of Oxford. Zizhou has now been teaching privately for six years, including at the prestigious Magdalen College School at Oxford. He has been helping countless students prepare for various music exams, older students prepare for university study and Oxbridge applications, as well as supporting those who play solely for personal pleasure. He is also highly experienced in teaching music theory and notation, music history, and music analysis and composition. Zizhou is passionate about sharing the joy of music with others, both through performing and teaching piano. He is eager to share this passion with his future students.
