Our piano teacher Alex offers classical piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Alex has been teaching piano lessons since 2021. He has been performing as a solo pianist from a young age, giving numerous recitals at various venues, such as the Bedford School. He has won many prizes for his performances, including the Senior Piano Prize and the Amos Solo Performance Prize. He is also an experienced piano accompanist, having accompanied in a local church for a number of years, and accompanying conservatory students for various performances and competitions. Alex is also a passionate composer of video game and concert music, currently scoring several fan games and indie projects. His notable projects including compositions for Psappha ensemble, Voces8, and the Royal Northern College of Music’s Brand New Orchestra. Alex's skill in composing translates effectively to piano teaching, as he creates highly tailored piano arrangements of students’ favorite pieces of music. His thoughtful lessons have a technical focus on a student's individual areas for growth, allowing them to turn them into strengths. Alex's approach to teaching piano is flexible and fits around the student, focusing on each student's individual interests to allow them to become confident, skilled, and passionate pianists.
