Our piano teacher Declan offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 7 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Declan has been teaching piano lessons since 2019. As a performer, Declan has played in recitals across Oxford and London venues, including the Holywell Music Room and St. Mary le Strand. For many years, his solo performances have been recorded and broadcast by the St. Peter's College Music Society. He performs a range of classical repertoire, as well as many of his own compositions. As a collaborative pianist, he has played with ensembles of various sizes, from the chamber orchestra Ensemble ISIS to small groups like the Asteria Trio. Declan's passion for music education has taken him to a range of settings as a session pianist, and he has accompanied groups including Holywell Voices, Tottenham Community Choir, and City Lit Inclusive Choir. This piano teacher enjoys working across the classical music sector and creating opportunities for emerging artists. Declan relishes seeing his piano students succeed in both examination and live performance settings, and has a flexible approach that accommodates a wide range of pupils' needs, interests, and aspirations in music.
